Excellence in Teaching Recognized at the 16th Annual Celebration of College Teaching Conference

During the 16th Annual Celebration of College Teaching Conference (October 29th-30th) many members of the Kent State community were recognized for their hard work. The winners of the Outstanding Teaching Awards for non-tenure-track faculty members are Dr. Elizabeth Howard, assistant professor of English; Dr. Irene Axiotis, assistant professor of health sciences; and Dr. Margaret Ruth Leslie, assistant professor of chemistry. The winners of the Distinguished Teaching Awards are Dr. Walter Davis, associate professor of teaching, learning and curriculum sciences; Dr. Wayne Gorder, professor of music; and Dr. Douglas Kline, professor of biological sciences. Congratulations to these wonderful teachers!

Marcia Baxter Magolda

After a very well attended keynote presentation on Thursday October 15th and an interactive workshop on Friday October 16th, Marcia Baxter Magolda's visit to Kent State University was both a thought provoking and Insightful event.
