Once selected, applicants are requested to:
• attend a program entrance meeting with fpdc staff and fellow Moulton Scholars to discuss projects and receive information about program requirements and procedures
• attend a Moulton Scholars Welcome at the beginning of each term to share project ideas and learn about available resources and establish a network with fellow faculty colleagues
• participate in First Friday or another mutually accepted date to delve into specific areas of development and support each others projects
• attend an exit meeting at the end of the term to discuss project accomplishments and submit a brief case report to the fpdc and to the scholar’s department or unit
• share project results with academic department and units the following semester
• if requested, give a Portraits of Practice brown bag lunch presentation
• if requested, review incoming applicants to the Moulton Scholar program
Office: Applicants requesting office space in Moulton Hall are provided with a desk, filing cabinet drawer space, telephone, computer and shared printer. Mailboxes identifying each Moulton Scholar are located in the fpdc studio, room 217. All equipment is the property of Moulton Hall and the Faculty Professional Development Center and may not be removed from the premises. Participants are given a key to their office and may request a key to Moulton Hall for access to the building when it's closed. Faculty members who have been awarded scholarships and offices are asked to move in the first week of the semester. Moulton Scholars agree to remove all personal possessions when their semester of occupancy has expired.
Equipment, Software & Consultation: The fpdc provides a studio where Moulton Scholars are welcome to consult with staff, use studio equipment and software and browse or borrow materials from the studio resource library. Special software and/or hardware requests, if approved, will either be installed on Moulton Scholar office computers or on one of the fpdc Studio computers.
Application: To apply for the Moulton Scholars program, please complete the online application (must have Adobe Reader to access) form and then print, sign, and submit copy to the fpdc.
