Every college or university participating in AQIP is required to create and maintain a Systems Portfolio, a concise description of the organization's fundamental systems for getting its work done and its goals accomplished.
American Association of University professors (AAUP)--Kent Chapter
American Association of University Professors (AAUP) is a national organization of faculty, founded in 1915, which "defends academic freedom and tenure, advocates collegial governance, and develops policies ensuring due process." Some chapters, like the Kent chapter, are collective bargaining chapters.

Faculty Senate
The Faculty Senate is the faculty governing body for Kent State University. It is primarily concerned with matters of university educational policies, curriculum, academic and professional standards, and the establishment, discontinuance and major alteration of academic programs. The senate also possesses shared responsibilities and advisory responsibilities. In addition, the Faculty Senate may consider other matters pertaining to the welfare and mission of the university.
Faculty Professional Development Center
The Center mission is to support faculty in their many forms of scholarship and professional work. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching, research and creative activity, and service.

Reappointment/Tenure/Promotion
The fpdc offers a variety of resources for faculty going through either the reappointment, tenure or promotion process. Support is offered through workshops, consultations, and resource materials available in the fpdc studio.
Research Center for Educational Technology
The Research Center for Educational Technology (RCET) was founded in 1999 to provide a collegial network for university researchers and K-16 educators committed to studying the impact of technology on teaching and learning. RCET offices are located in northeast Ohio on the campus of Kent State University in the Moulton Hall Learning Technologies Center.

TeachU
The Ohio Learning Network's TeachU Online Seminars is a series of free, hour-long interactive Web presentations on uses of emerging technologies and pedagogies within the contexts of teaching, assessment, and student success. Each seminar is delivered live using online audio and video/image presentation technology, allowing you to interact with the presenter(s) and your colleagues through your web browser.

University Research Council
The URC promotes undergraduate student participation in research activities. Students are not just washing the dishes and cleaning the labs. They are steeped in the process, working with their professors to contribute to their discipline’s body of knowledge.
University Teaching Council
To support and facilitate the teaching mission of the university by studying and recommending policies regarding enrichment and enhancement of the scholarship of teaching; recommending priorities for support of teaching and curriculum development; recommending teaching development awards; collecting information on teaching and curriculum development; and publicizing teaching and curriculum development of the university.
Women’s Resource Center Programs
