Summary of Goals

• The goals for the FLC community will be to (a)focus on the nature and needs of the most common disabilities of students in higher education, (b)transition and adjustment needs of college students with disabilities, (c)classroom accommodations and assistive technology,(d) effective teaching strategies and universal design for learning, and (e)educating faculty to being advocates for college.

  regarding a possible minor/certificate program in Disability Studies at
  Kent State University that would cross all disciplines at the undergraduate
  and graduate levels.
