Summary of Goals

• To establish an online learning community whose members will include faculty with online or distance education experience and/or instructional design skills and knowledge, as well as faculty who are new to distance learning.

• To engage faculty in evaluation of their teaching through use of the Seven Principles of Effective Teaching. Participants will create a podcast describing how they implement at least two of the seven principles of effective teaching in one of their courses.

• To create an institutional podcast that will be utilized in an actual course.
