Summary of Goals

• The Digital Games-Based Learning FLC proposes to explore the potential of using Second LifeTM for science education. This project could take some time, so here we propose to take the first steps. Our primary goal is to develop online virtual science camps in which 7th-12th grade students can explore science concepts through collaborative problem solving activities. In some of these act In some of these activities, students may be given population “myths” about science that may or may not be true; small groups will then attempt to “bust” the myths. Other projects may invite groups to design experiments or solve other problems.
