Grant Summary
This learning community (LC) will revision the present Advanced Expository Prose Writing (AEPW) course. The current English course description is vague, contributing to under enrollment and widely varied course delivery methods, assignments, and grading. The revision will identify and coordinate course goals, and objectives, moving the face-to-face course to an online version with a service-learning component in phase I and a hybrid version in phase II. By creating an LC to revision and assess this course, we will draw from the expertise of specialists in the following areas: online course, advanced composition, service-learning, multimodal assignments, assessment, and local communities.
