Tech and Print Resources

The Faculty Professional Development Center includes many tech and print resources to assist graduate students and faculty. This includes open work stations and equipment we can loan out for you to take home.

 

Computer Work Stations

Computer workstations are open to faculty throughout the calendar year. Scanning, video projects, web design and development are some of the options available.

Equipment Available for Loan

A variety of equipment is available for loan to faculty. Digital cameras, a laptop computer, and an audio voice recorder are available to faculty and graduate assistants.

Faculty Classroom

A faculty classroom is available for department / campus meetings, special one-on-one group collaboration projects or faculty who wish to document the scholarship of teaching and learning within their classrooms.

The fpdc Faculty Classroom is used for workshops, seminars, meetings and a host of other faculty and department collaborations. It is also available for department / campus meetings, special one-on-one group collaboration projects or faculty who wish to document the scholarship of teaching and learning within their classrooms. The room has:

leaf bullet Elmo for transparency projection
leaf bullet Video cassette player
leaf bullet Center table for meetings and discussions
leaf bullet 13 wireless laptops

Resource Materials for Loan

Housed within the fpdc studio is a resource materials library complete with books, journals, magazines, handouts, and faculty tenure and promotion files. Most resource materials can be borrowed while others such as Tenure and Promotion files must be viewed in the fpdc studio.  It is also possible to request resources for the fpdc to purchase for you, stop by the studio in 217 Moulton hall or email us at fpdc@kent.edu for more info.

Lynda.com

We are very excited to announce that the fpdc has Lynda.com training CD's available for the faculty to borrow!
